When life throws you a curve ball

When I was growing up I believed that my thirties would be the best time in my life, now that I am 33, I am becoming aware of the fact that looking forward to certain times in your life is unrealistic. I have to focus on this time I am in now, how to achieve my goals for my future and the future of my family. I let my education slide in my 20’s because I was raising my children; they are the most important things to me, now and forever. I am working on my education of becoming a dental assistant, and in the future a dental hygienist, its hard work but I have surprised myself on what I can achieve with persistence and patients and motivation. It is time to live in the present, get through tough stressful times, as hard as it is to do at that very moment it is possible to be positive and keep moving…. So when life throws a curve ball, keep your eye on your goals, swing hard and believe “ I can do this, I will do this, Things will get better, Hell,, they might get harder, But I will be okay!”

When I was young
As young as you
I did not know
What I could do
I did not know
What I would see
I did not know
What I could be
I did not know
What made me me
The views were new
The dreams were tall
The climbs were fun
The fear small
The wishes big
The laughter heaped
The wonder wide
The magic deep
No time to look
Before the leap
And now I’m old
As old as me
I know the dreams
I didn’t see
I know the same
Recurring view
I know each day
What I would do
If I could know
The things you knew
Imagine all the things we’d be
If I were you and you were me
Imagine all the things we’d do
If I were me and you were you

Schools out for Summer

So school is out for the kids, We have some fun things planned, Ridgecrest this weeknd for Genny's graduation,(so proud of the young lady she is becoming, I wish her luck in the future and hope she does well and makes good decisions for her future.) Hopefully camping, and of coure swimming cause it's so damn HOT outside, I have two girls that I am entertaining this summer a 12 year old and an 8 year old both girls, I usually have no problem finding fun free or cheap things for us to do, but I find myself brainfarting on things to keep the kids busy, I think we're going to tour the chocolate factory this week and hit thelibrary, plan on taking them to the lake this summer too.  I have a summer class that I am taking and I dont like it, critical reading 101, what ever happen to reading for enjoyment?  Got the garden planted a little late but its growing and hopefully we will have some kind of vegies going before it gets too hot. Enjoy your summer!
